"Les Idées Folles" is a large family farmhouse with a real soul, in the heart of the Somme valley. With friends or family, you will find a warm and convivial place, where we have left a large part of what makes us who we are.
Up to 18 in beds, 20 with the sofa bed in the lounge. More of you? The farm becomes the home base, and the others sleep a stone's throw away.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. Everything was there, and it is the ideal place to spend a week with a large group. Each bedroom is decorated with great care and taste, which makes you feel at home. The garden is a wonderful place to relax, and the trampoline was a big hit. The hens make the place perfect: truly the icing on the cake!

A lovely house, well equipped for a large number of people, where you can live as a group while still finding quieter corners thanks to the many bedrooms and living rooms. Very green, with a huge park! Kind, responsive hosts. Self check-in and check-out are a real plus.
We loved the house and the grounds, everything has so much charm. Very practical and pleasant for families with children: trampoline, balls, henhouse, wooden games. The kitchen was very well equipped too. I recommend it and will happily come back!

A great weekend with friends. A warm, welcoming house, perfect for a large group, with a quieter wing for most of the bedrooms and the living rooms on the other side. Very accommodating hosts, who received our grocery order before we arrived and put the fresh food in the fridge. A thousand thanks!
A wonderful place for a countryside weekend with friends and children. Everyone especially loved the super comfortable beds. It has the charm of an old house with very modern comfort. The children adored the garden and spent hours exploring every corner. The only drawback: they cried a little when it was time to leave.
Marc-Antoine and Delphine are very responsive hosts who answered my many questions. Communication was perfect! The house is big and spacious for a group of 16. It was a real pleasure to spend this family weekend in this beautiful place. We will be back!

We bought this farm five years ago: a real life project, one we keep building on. Every bedroom bears the first name of one of our grandparents or great-grandparents.

What we recommend around the farm

Pont-Rémy, the Somme and its cycle route
The Somme valley cycle route runs through Pont-Rémy, the next village: our morning walk, on foot or by bike, along the river, the ponds and the marshes, without taking the car. For cyclists, it follows the Somme towards Abbeville and the bay one way, towards Amiens the other.

Fishing
For anglers, the Somme, its ponds and marshes are a paradise: carp, pike, zander and coarse fish. Get a day or week permit, and bring your own tackle.

Our town for shops and the market. Stop by the Saint-Vulfran collegiate church and the Boucher-de-Perthes museum.

The royal abbey is worth the detour, and so is its music festival every summer. From Abbeville, cycle there along the Traverse du Ponthieu greenway, 10 km.
