A weekend for up to 18, without stepping on each other
A large farmhouse between a closed courtyard and a one-hectare garden, two hours from Paris and Lille. Two lounges, two fireplaces, a kitchen where you cook together, and the Somme Bay thirty minutes away.
The evenings
The large convivial kitchen, with its wood stove and farmhouse table for twelve, is the heart of the house. The large living room brings everyone together around its big table, the small living room hosts fireside conversations.
Two raclette sets, a fondue set, a crêpe maker, a Beertender beer tap and two Bluetooth speakers are there. Firewood is free and the fireplaces are loaded when you arrive.
More than 20 of you?
There is always a solution. The farm becomes the home base: you live, eat and gather here. The others sleep a stone's throw away in Pont-Rémy, 2 km from here: the gîte Aux 10 Ponts (8 people, 3 bedrooms) and the village gîte Au fil de l'eau (6 people, 3 bedrooms), both on the banks of the Somme, not counting the gîtes in the neighbouring villages.
For those who sleep in Pont-Rémy and spend their days at the farm, count on €15 per person per day, by quote.

The days
Pétanque pitch, Mölkky, frog game, Nicolas billiards, giant trampoline, charcoal barbecue, sun loungers and a garden table for fourteen. The Somme and its cycle route are two kilometres away; the bay's beaches, the seals and Saint-Valery-sur-Somme thirty minutes.
Sleeping
Seven bedrooms, five of them grouped in a quiet wing away from the living rooms: early sleepers sleep, the others carry on. Three bathrooms and a separate toilet to be ready on time, even with a full house.
Arriving on Friday evening
Self check-in between 3 pm and midnight, no appointment: the gate code is sent to you on the day. A drive-through supermarket five minutes away lets you order groceries before leaving and collect them on arrival.

for the two weekend nights in low season, cleaning included, at 16.
Two-night minimum
all year, and the weekend is booked as a whole (no arrival or departure on Saturday, except for a full week). Weeknights are cheaper, and an arrival less than 14 days away gets a 10% discount.
About noise
The house is made for big tables, and the garden is fairly far from the neighbours. Keep it reasonable outside after midnight: this is a village, quiet between 10 pm and 8 am.
Dogs and cats welcome
in the fenced garden, supervised because of the hens and sheep.

Can we have a party?

Can we smoke?
Not indoors. Outside yes, ashtrays are provided, and the grounds are left without cigarette ends.
Can we have a barbecue?
Yes, a charcoal barbecue is available in the garden, with an extending table for fourteen and sun loungers for sunny days.
Do we need to bring sheets and towels?
Yes, unless you choose a linen option: sheets only, sheets and towels, or beds made before you arrive. See the Rates page.
Who is Swikly, and why do you use them?
Swikly is a French company founded in 2016 in Lyon, specialised in online security deposits and payments for rentals, and offered by Banque Populaire to its business customers. We use them so that your card never goes through us: it is entered on their secure page, and we never see your numbers.
The stay is paid in one go. The deposit is a simple card imprint, neither debited nor blocked, released automatically after the stay. Swikly also offers an optional insurance that refunds you if accidental damage were to be taken from the deposit.
