A weekend for 16, without stepping on each other
A large farmhouse between a closed courtyard and a one-hectare garden, two hours from Paris and Lille. Two lounges, two fireplaces, a kitchen where you cook together, and the Somme Bay thirty minutes away.
The evenings
The large convivial kitchen, with its wood stove and farmhouse table for twelve, is the heart of the house. The large lounge seats up to 16 around the table, the small lounge hosts conversations by the fire. Two raclette machines, a fondue set, a crêpe maker, a Beertender beer pump and two Bluetooth speakers are provided. Firewood is free and the fireplaces are loaded when you arrive.
The days
Pétanque pitch, Mölkky, frog game, Nicolas billiards, giant trampoline, charcoal barbecue, sun loungers and a garden table for fourteen. The Somme and its cycle route are two kilometres away; the bay's beaches, the seals and Saint-Valery-sur-Somme thirty minutes.
Sleeping
Seven bedrooms, five of them grouped in a quiet wing away from the living rooms: early sleepers sleep, the others carry on. Three bathrooms and a separate toilet to be ready on time, even at 16.
Arriving on Friday evening
Self check-in between 3 pm and midnight, no appointment: the gate code is sent to you on the day. A drive-through supermarket five minutes away lets you order groceries before leaving and collect them on arrival.
€78 per person
for the two weekend nights in low season, cleaning included, at 16.
Two-night minimum
Friday and Saturday; weekdays are cheaper.
About noise
The house is made for big tables, and the garden is fairly far from the neighbours. Keep it reasonable outside after midnight: this is a village, quiet between 10 pm and 8 am.
Dogs and cats welcome
in the fenced garden, supervised because of the hens and sheep.

Can we have a party?

Can we smoke?
Not indoors. Outside yes, ashtrays are provided, and the grounds are left without cigarette ends.
Can we have a barbecue?
Yes, a charcoal barbecue is available in the garden, with an extending table for fourteen and sun loungers for sunny days.
Do we need to bring sheets and towels?
Yes, unless you choose a linen option: sheets only, sheets and towels, or beds made before you arrive. See the Rates page.
