Les Idées Folles
The giant trampoline at the bottom of the garden
Family holiday

A week at the farm, for a large family or several

Seven bedrooms, a fenced one-hectare garden, hens, two sheep, a giant trampoline, and the beaches of the Somme Bay thirty minutes away. Weeks run Saturday to Saturday or Friday to Friday.

The children

The garden is fully fenced and the car park closed by an electric gate. Giant trampoline with net, pétanque pitch, board games, books and toys. Some twenty hens and roosters live in the meadow with two sheep: the day's eggs go to whoever finds them.

Parents and grandparents

The whole house is on one level, with no internal stairs. Two kitchens to cook together, two lounges to gather or retreat, a conservatory opening onto the garden, and wifi with Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ for rainy evenings.

Days out

The beaches of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme and Le Crotoy, the little train of the bay, seals to watch on foot or by canoe, the Marquenterre park with binoculars, the Valloires gardens, and the Somme cycle route two kilometres away, straight from the house.

The week in practice

Supermarket and drive-through five minutes away, Abbeville market on Thursdays and Saturdays. Linen packages with beds made on arrival, and cleaning during the stay in two-hour slots for week-long stays. In winter, central heating, two fireplaces and a wood stove, firewood included.
