Privacy policy

This website belongs to a holiday home run by private individuals. It collects only what is needed to answer your requests, manage your bookings and welcome you, nothing more. Here is, concretely, what happens with your data.

Who is responsible

Marc-Antoine Haffreingue, host of the Les Idées Folles holiday home in Liercourt (Somme, France), is the data controller. You can reach him through the website form or at contact@lesideesfolles.fr.

What we collect

• Through the contact form: your name, email address and message.
• When booking: your first and last names, postal address, email address, phone number, dates, number of guests, options and any message.
• When signing the contract: the name you type, the date and time, your IP address, your browser type and the digital fingerprint of the signed document, which serve as evidence.

For the payment and the deposit, we never see your card number: it is entered at Swikly. With the chat assistant, your questions are sent to Groq (United States) to produce the answer. We keep the text of the questions for twelve months at most, with nothing that could tell who asked them, to improve the answers; you must not type any personal data into it.

Server logs

Like any site, our server records each page requested with the visitor's IP address, the date, the browser and the referring page.

These logs are used for security and for anonymised visitor statistics, with no cookie or tracker: no third-party tool follows your browsing. They are erased after 90 days at most.

We also record, with no IP address or identifier, how the site's features are used: prices calculated with the dates requested, shares, questions to the assistant, journeys. These anonymous notes are kept for twelve months at most and help us improve the house and the site.

Finally, to know how many people are looking at the site at the same time, the server keeps for one hour at most, in memory only, a number computed from your address and your browser. Nothing is written to disk and it all disappears when the server restarts.

Why

To answer your request, prepare your quote, draw up and have the contract signed, collect the stay and register the deposit, organise your arrival and reach you during the stay.

This includes the automatic emails: fourteen and five days before arrival, on the morning of arrival with the access code and instructions, and on the morning of departure.

Legal basis: performance of the contract and, for the practical emails, our legitimate interest in welcoming you well. Keeping contracts meets our accounting obligations.

For how long

An unpaid booking request, or a cancelled booking, is deleted one year after the planned stay date. For a completed stay, your contact details are automatically erased three years after your departure.

The contract and its amount are kept five years for accounting, then deleted. Server backups are kept thirty days. Conversations with the assistant are not recorded.

Who has access

Your hosts, Delphine and Marc-Antoine, and the strictly necessary providers:

• OVHcloud (Roubaix, France) hosts the site, its data and our mailbox;
• Swikly (Lyon, France) handles the payment and the card-imprint deposit: it receives your name, email address, amounts and dates.

The only exception outside Europe is the chat assistant, provided by Groq (United States). It only receives the text of your questions, with no link to your booking, and Groq commits not to use them to train models nor to keep them. To be safe, never type personal data into it.

Your booking data never leaves the European Union and is never sold. On the Practical page, the departure town you type is sent, with nothing else, to the French IGN, the Adresse API, OpenStreetMap and, for departures outside France, openrouteservice (Germany). No cookie is set.

Cookies and trackers

This website sets no cookies and uses no audience measurement tool or advertising network. Fonts and the map are served from the website itself and from the IGN Géoplateforme, a French public service. The conversation assistant keeps the exchange in your browser for the duration of your visit, without cookies.

Security

The site is encrypted (HTTPS) and hosted in France. Server access is reserved for your hosts, by security key. Booking files can only be read by the site's software, and secrets never appear in the code.

Your booking page is protected by a unique key: keep it, do not share it.

Your rights

You can request access to, rectification or deletion of your data, or object to its processing, by a simple message through the form or by email. We reply within one month. You can also contact the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), if you believe your rights are not respected.

Tell me if these dates go

Tell me if these dates go: if you leave an email address to be told, we use it only for those exact dates. We write at most three times: if someone asks for the same dates, the day they are booked, and once to say they are still free. The address is erased after the stay, and after 90 days at the latest.
