By the fire
Central heating, two fireplaces and a wood stove, with the firewood included: the fireplaces and the stove are laid for your arrival. Our January guests confirm it, the house is warm. The small living room and its fireplace for conversations, the big living room and its own for the evenings.
The festive table
The big living-dining room seats up to 16 around its table. Next to it, the farmhouse kitchen with its wood stove and its farm table for twelve, then the cooking kitchen: oven, dishwasher, American fridge, induction hob, two raclette sets, a fondue set, a crêpe maker and a beer pump. Two Bluetooth speakers for the music.
Sleeping 16
Seven bedrooms, five of them grouped in a quiet wing away from the living rooms: early sleepers sleep, the others carry on. Three bathrooms and a separate toilet, two travel cots and two baby beds for the little ones. Everything is on one level, which matters for the grandparents.
The holidays in practice
Christmas and New Year are high season, three nights minimum. You arrive on your own between 3 pm and midnight, with the gate code sent the same day, and the departure time is agreed together. We are in a village, quiet between 10 pm and 8 am: the party happens indoors, and outside within reason after midnight.

Questions we are often asked
Is the house well heated in winter?
Yes: central heating, two fireplaces and a wood stove, with free firewood. January guests confirm it.
Can we have a party?
The house is made for big tables and evenings with friends, and the garden is fairly far from the neighbours. Please stay reasonable, especially outside and after midnight: we are in a village.
Is cleaning included?
End-of-stay cleaning is charged at €160 per stay. The house must be left tidy, dishes done and bins taken out. For stays of a week or more, a cleaning visit during your stay is available at €16 per hour, in two-hour slots.
What are the arrival and departure times?
Self check-in between 3 pm and midnight. The check-out time is agreed together before your stay, case by case: tell us your constraints. We remain reachable throughout your stay.
